Translation is an art. From the initial artwork, the translator has to create a new artwork, which must have the same content as the former but a whole new shape.

In my daily work as a translator, I use the translation software (CAT tool) SDL Trados Studio in order to ensure a uniform and coherent use of the language and technical terms throughout the translation, and to enable me to translate more quickly.

I calculate my prices based on various factors: the text length (number of words or lines), the complexity of the text (general or technical) and the urgency (deadline). When calculating the price I refer to the price chart of the Federal Association of Interpreters and Translators (BDÜ).
